IN a first for our region, the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking community feedback via an online survey, which closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday 11 May 2022, about the future of Long Jetty Hospital.
“This facility was opened back in 1958 in response to a community led campaign with successful fundraising efforts and known then as Long Jetty Hospital,” Mr. Mehan said.
“Over time, it has had refurbishments and provided essential care for patients with subacute needs which has relieved pressure on both of our major hospitals at Gosford and Wyong.
“It is important that the community has its say about the future of this public health facility and it is not left up to management to decide.”
