$2.5 million commitment

to Kariong sport precinct

Labor has announced that it will commit $2.5 million to upgrade the Kariong Sporting Precinct if it wins government on May 21.

DR. GORDON REID, Labor Candidate for Robertson, joined Kariong United Football Club President, Mr. Adam Page and Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch to announce the commitment to upgrade Kariong Sporting Precinct if Labor wins the election 0n 21 May..


“Across the Robertson electorate, we have growing sporting membership and budding sports stars training and using tired and no longer fit-for-purpose facilities," Dr. Reid said.


"Here in Kariong, Labor wants to bring the sports facilities up to standard and promote the benefits of sports participation further.


“Sport needs to be more inclusive and accommodate all; there are currently no female changing rooms and this upgrade will bring the facilities up to a standard that reflects the changing needs of the community.”


Kariong United President, Mr. Adam Page has welcomed the announcement and highlighted the need for this upgrade.


“The community in Kariong have been looking forward to an upgrade of Kariong Sporting Precinct for many years. We look forward to seeing this upgrade improve sport participation and accessability,” Mr. Page said.


“I welcome this announcement and look forward to seeing a much-needed upgrade of these sporting facilities.”
